Frequently Asked Questions

  • How often should I bring my pet in for grooming?
Most pets benefit from grooming every 3 to 6 weeks, depending on their breed, coat type, and lifestyle. We’re happy to recommend a schedule that fits your pet's needs.

  • Do I need an appointment, or do you accept walk-ins?
Only by appointment to ensure availability. We may accept walk-ins for nail trims.

  • How far in advance should I book an appointment?
At least one week in advance to secure your preferred date and time. During holidays or busy seasons, please book at least 3 weeks ahead to ensure availability.

  • How long does the grooming process take?
Most appointments take 2 to 4 hours, depending on the size, coat condition, and behavior of the pet. We’ll give you a time estimate when you drop off.

  • What if my pet has special needs, anxiety, or health conditions?
Please let us know in advance. We’re experienced with senior pets, anxious pets, and those needing extra care and patience.

  • Can I stay with my pet during the grooming?
For safety and focus, we ask that owners do not remain in the grooming area. Pets tend to be calmer when they’re not trying to reach their owner.

  • Do you groom puppies?
Yes! We love working with puppies. We recommend starting around 8 weeks old.

  • What if my dog has fleas or ticks?
If we find fleas or ticks, a flea bath will be required at an additional cost. For heavy infestations, we may reschedule your appointment and refer you to a veterinarian.

  • What kind of products do you use?
Hydra high-quality, pet-safe shampoos and conditioners. Hypoallergenic and medicated options are available upon request.

  • What’s your cancellation or no-show policy?
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. No-shows may incur a fee or require a deposit to rebook.

Store Policies

  • Grooming Risks: We prioritize your pet’s safety, but grooming may involve risks like nicks, cuts, or skin irritation. By using our services, you release our salon from liability for such occurrences.

  • All pets must be up to date on rabies before grooming. Proof may be requested.

  • Pricing: Final pricing is based on coat condition, size, and behavior. Groomers may adjust the cost as needed at any time.

  • Behavior & Health: Pets must be in good health. Aggressive or overly anxious dogs may be referred to a vet. Groomers may stop the session if safety is a concern.

  • Matting: Severely matted coats will be shaved down. Extra charges apply and are determined by the groomer. If your pet is matted in certain areas to the point where trimming would result in an uneven haircut, we may decide a shave-down is the best option. If the owner does not agree to a shave-down when required, then the pet will be returned without completing the groom.

  • Fleas: If fleas or ticks are found during grooming, a flea bath will be applied, and an additional fee will be charged. Pets with severe infestations may be refused service.

  • Pick-Up Policy: Wait for our call before picking up. Early arrivals may result in incomplete grooming, but full price still applies. Please pick up your pet(s) within an hour of being notified. This helps us free up kennel space for the next appointment, prevent potty accidents, and stay on schedule. Pets left for more than 1 hour after notification will be charged an additional daycare fee $35.

  • Personal Items: We are not responsible for lost or damaged personal items (leashes, collars, tags, etc.).
By booking, you agree to these terms.
